The sequence analysis supports the value stream mapping due to the close observation of the individual process stage on the shopfloor (chalk circle method) recording the activities/actions in small units of time, and if appropriate in photos and films.

The goal is to identify and record potentials. Usually, this close observation leads to a large number of concrete ideas and approaches designed to improve the process - always with the direct participation of the process owner. And you can only do this by observing directly at the workplace - not by holding meetings in the office!
